In mere WEEKS the great day of Halloween will be upon us! I'm SO READY, and so are my nails after getting them dug into this collection! It's one of those that pairs really well with itself, and is still versatile enough to pair with other ones too! Drink up Witches Smooth, neon green with a nice electric feel to it. Looks less blue-toned in real life than it appears in photos. Think Nickelodeon Green Slime! Lady and the Vamp Not quite traffic-cone orange, but pretty close! Another smooth neon, with all the same photographic difficulties. Looking Bootiful Rich, beautiful purple with a jelly/crelly base. Took several coats to get this opaque, and those pink spots are where it's thinner. If you're going for an uneven and spooky look this is GREAT!!! Cackle if you want to Clear based glitter topper, with black and purple glitter of varying sizes and shapes. Square, hex, round and micro. I was pleasantly surprised with all the glitters in this collection, as they didn't require ANY fishing to get large pieces, and only a small bit of draining the brush to get it full enough of glitter to give an even layer. Shown here with one coat, over 'Drink up Witches' Ghostess with the Mostess Clear based glitter topper, with black, purple, green, and orange glitter of varying sizes and shapes. Square, hex, round and micro again. Shown here with one coat, over 'Lady and the Vamp' Something's Brewing Clear based glitter topper, with black and green glitter of varying sizes and shapes. Square, hex, round and micro again. This one played a little tough guy, either being too thin or having the glitter clump together on the brush and nail. Still fantastic though! Shown here with one coat, over 'Looking Bootiful' I also picked up two polishes I have been eyeing up for a while now, and swatched those alongside the 2015 collection! But of Corpse This one is from last year's Halloween collection, 'Apocalypse of Color'. It's a metallic matte glitter polish, in a slightly minty green pigment. Dries like the 'Crinkled Chrome' collection. Middle and pinky fingers have two coats of clear top coat on top, to show how awesome it would look both with, and without, any topcoat. Treble Maker If you haven't gathered yet, I like green. Like, a lot. Especially greens that lean mint. Treble Maker was no exception, so I got this one as well. It's from this year's 'Electric Night's' collection, and is sooo so pretty alone. I can't fathom wearing it with anything else, but I'm positive it will look amazing now matter how you dress it.

For my birthday this August, I bought myself a Loot Crate subscription!! I was SO EXCITED because the theme was Villains 2, and I LOVE my villains. Soo so much. Growing up, Maleficent was my favourite, but there are so many great and misunderstood ones. Plus the Mega Crate had a Voldemort statue in it, and I was hoping I'd get lucky. No such luck, but I still adore the box! I saw that a "wearable" was going to be included, and I thought it was going to be a T-Shirt. NEVER have I been so glad to be disappointed! Instead, it was an APRON. The one thing I've been wanting for years. :D While I can't think of a practical use for this myself, I DO think it will make an awesome addition to the nursery after our wedding. How cute would this be sitting on a diaper shelf? I could use the faces to signal to my fiance when a good day is happening and when it's not. Perfect! Muahahaha! I considered leaving this in the box, but then I figured what the hey. This is an amazing pin, I should USE it! So I added it to my 'Los Pollos Hermanos' apron, along with the official August 2015 Looter pin! I was never a big fan of Spider-Man, preferring Batman myself, but I absolutely love that I got a new coffee mug with my first Loot Crate! Spider-Man may not be big for me, but coffee is a HUGE thing in my house. So of course this morning's coffee went right inside Mr. Venom here! And of course last but NOT least, the official Looter pin! It got put on my apron as well, and now I can cook like a BOSS. Mischief Managed, Loot Crate! Thanks!!! If you'd like to sign up for Loot Crate, I'd love to be the one that refers you!! <3 Let's crate together!
On my nails, that is. I've been feeling the fall vibe and in Kentucky that means hunting gear is everywhere. So, Camo and Orange vest are coming alive as inspiration for this week's mani. I used Vapid Lacquer's "All about that Base" base coat on all, and Vapid's QDTC on the Orange nails; Zoya's Flynn as the nude base colour with Zoya's Louise as the branches and Zoya's Ray as the green leaf accents. The orange is Salon Perfect's Traffic Cone and the matte topcoat on the accent nails is Sally Hansen's big matte topcoat. It's a bit deeper of an orange than it looks here, very like a *gasp* traffic cone! It was shifting in the lightbulb, but outright GLOWED in the morning light, so you'll have to try to imagine the neon goodness. :D
Ahhhh look at that colour. Just LOOK AT IT. Krys from Vapid Lacquer has done it AGAIN. Is it holo? Is it glitter? Is it white or is it grey? IT'S EVERYTHING. I'm not even convinced it's purely white/grey, as the base has a slight periwinkle lean to it. Tiny pink, purple, blue, and white/pale pink glitters are hiding just in front of a beautiful linear holo. In one thin coat, it's a glitter/holo/awesome TOPPER! In a few more coats built up, it's this beauty all on its own. But what is it? Unicorn Egg!! Sadly, this was available as a super Limited Edition part of an Anniversary Trio, but if you can get your hands on this, you surely better! A subtle, beautiful, gem in my Vapid Arsenal!
